ExtravaCANza was a success!

What a day. ⭐️ The rain 🌧️ held off and the teams were building fabulous sculptures. Thank you to the Manassas City Library for hosting the Third Annual Canned Goods ExtravaCANza for us. This very large donation is going to benefit the ACTS Warehouse that supplies needy families as well as the Domestic Violence Shelters.   

Our All-Star Teams created their structures from a book they liked and included Brownie Troops (Stellar Hair and Stitch), Boys & Girls Club (the B&G logo), Girls on the Run (The Tortoise and the Hare) and we decided to do our own entry (the Grinch). Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger was again our judge and we appreciate her time and difficult decisions.

Local Food pantries suffer droughts throughout the year so this donation will be a welcomed sight.  This donation should measure out to be about 1250 lbs. of food. Combined with last week’s Food drive of 658, that puts 1,908 lbs. of food into our community.

As you know, we all show love in different ways but one common way is through feeding people. And you have all shown your love today!!  We thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts.  From the planning of the event to the Sponsoring of the event and the teams that put all that love into creative works of art.  You are all Amazing.  Thank You All    Until next year….
